How do we identify who we are when the shape of the self is changed?

In this short text based game, you play as a main character with the ability to 'transfer Consciousnesses' and operate within a different body. You are tasked to note any mental observations or abnormalities you face while adapting to the new physical self.

To Reverse Myopia is discussion of identity - ultimately reflecting on how we understand others and especially ourselves.

DISCLAIMER: I could NOT getting the version I wanted running, so for now, we have a just-text version LOL (sorry)

currently fixing a bunch of stuff :.(((((((((((

I somewhat wish that the more time passes, the more you lose yourself as your struggling with figuring out whether or not you’re doing the right thing.

I noticed this too. It seems our character gets more and more confused as the game progresses. I also liked how there were so many different options.

I really enjoy the theme of your game, it really feels relaxing. I also like the art works you showed alongside the game. Maybe you can add some music into the game to make the game emotionally relaxing

I can sense a very well written story in this game, the idea of transfer consciousnesses really attracts me. In many of the movies, especially horror movie contains this concept. Like "Get Out", but the game seems not treated the concept as a scary technology.

I can definitely see Get Out as being somewhat similar to this, but also Peele's Us as well! Definitely plays with the idea of the other/doppel but feels a bit more disjointedly intimate than scary.

very very cool concept. Kind of spooky! It reminds me of the movie it’s what’s inside, but a much deeper more existential version, as the movie is not as intense as this was.

The interface reminds me of the reading we had last week, A Story As You Like It

I encountered a bug at the "Lenore! Did you observe anything peculiar?" Branch where neither option progressed the game.

I also got that bug when I was going through my second play through. The story reminds me a bit of the first Avatar movie, how people will transfer their consciousness to the avatar bodies and explore with their new physicality

The navigation is working well for the most part, but I did found a bug where I got stuck in “I close my eyes, steadily breathing…” and no option responds

I really enjoy the storyline of this game, but it doesn't display the full content when running on my computer.

I love the world you have created in this game!!! I wonder how the story would play out if we got to see the other perspective of the person you swapped consciousness with?

Is the player representative of how people who will do anything for the greater good, even if it seems to be vague and mysterious?

I like the use of words and descriptions in this game. They are very immersive and thoughtful. There are so many choices I can make that I only explores several of them. It really creates an atmosphere for the player to be an objective person in the game.

I really like the writing with this game, and the concept is very intriguing. One memorable moment from my experience was exploring the different rooms to understand the character that we have to adapt into.

I agree that adapting to the new character was nice. I really like the part where the muscle memory of playing the piano kicks in.

I think this game is very interesting and thoughtful. I think that it can get a little confusing at some parts, but I also think that that may be purposeful. Good job using the narrative style to make the player feel as disoriented as the character within the story. Definitely a game you have to play through multiple times.

I thought this game was very thoughtfully written. The story telling is extremely immersive and captures the curiosity and possible confusion the player may be feeling while following the consciousness transfer story. I also like how many options there were to choose from.
